Today I got a mail from SPG (Starwood Perferred Guest) with a higher class paper. I stayed 2 nights at Westin Langkawi in the early March, and now SPG send the membership card to me. Westin is one brand of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. Another famous brand in Starwood is Sheraton, I guess.
今天在新竹新家整理東西時收到了 SPG （直譯：偏好 Starwood 飯店集團的客人）寄來的會員卡，信封和裡頭的信紙都滿有質感的。有著兩三家世界各地 Starwood 集團旗下飯店的照片。裡頭附有一張 SPG 會員卡，不像 economist 會員卡是用塑膠做的，SPG 感覺只用了厚一點的卡紙然後前後包塑膠膜。我在三月初入住蘭卡威的 Westin 飯店兩個晚上，開始試用 SPG 會員，接著就跟航空公司會員一樣，搭機或入住一次之後會寄送實體會員卡到手上。比較麻煩的是，不論航空公司或飯店集團，他們的會員編號都一樣地奇怪，很長，肯定記不住。
Westin 是 Starwood 飯店集團旗下九個品牌之一，另一個我覺得大家比較耳熟能詳的是 Sheraton（喜來登飯店）這個品牌。（根據 Starwood 集團官方網站，台灣接下來將有一個 Sheraton 會座落在竹北。）
